Peer Review Policy

All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial editorial assessment to determine suitability, originality, ethical compliance, and alignment with the aims and scope of the journal. Manuscripts that do not meet basic requirements may be rejected without external review.

Crossroads Journal follows a double-anonymized (double-blind) peer review process in which the identities of authors and reviewers are hidden from each other throughout the review process.

Reviewers are selected based on academic qualifications, research experience in that field, and absence of conflicts of interest.

A minimum of two independent reviewers will review the paper. Minimum of two independent reviewers have to approve the paper before it is published. 

Reviewers assess:

  • Originality and contribution to knowledge
  • Theoretical/conceptual framework used to present your argument
  • Research methodology
  • Accuracy and reliability of results
  • Quality of analysis and interpretation
  • References and engagement with existing literature
  • Clarity of presentation and ease of reading
  • Ethical compliance

After peer review, the editor may issue:

  • Accept
  • Minor revisions required
  • Major revisions required
  • Reject

Papers rarely get approved for publication the first time. The reviewers may suggest revisions. The author will revise the paper as per the recommendations. Once the recommendations are incorporated, the paper can be published.

All submissions will be screened using plagiarism detection software. Manuscripts involving plagiarism, duplicate publication, fabricated data, or other ethical violations will be handled according to COPE guidelines.

Peer reviewers provide recommendations. Final publication decisions are made by the Editor-in-Chief based on reviewer reports and editorial assessment.  

Authors, reviewers, and editors must disclose any conflicts of interest that may influence the objectivity of the review process. Editors and reviewers with conflicts will withdraw from handling the manuscript.

The journal aims to provide an initial editorial decision within 4–8 weeks. Timelines may vary depending on reviewer availability and manuscript complexity.

The paper will be published as Open Access on the journal website as free downloadable PDF. The paper will also be published in the journal as print edition on Amazon.
