Ethics Policy

Crossroads Journal is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and academic integrity. The journal follows internationally recognized principles of responsible scholarly publishing and expects authors, reviewers, editors, and the publisher to uphold ethical standards throughout the publication process.

This policy is based on the principles and best practices promoted by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

Responsibilities of Authors

Authors submitting manuscripts to Crossroads Journal must ensure that their work meets the following ethical standards:

  • Originality and Plagiarism: Authors must submit original work that has not been published previously and is not under consideration by another journal. All manuscripts are screened using plagiarism detection software. Any form of plagiarism, including direct copying, inappropriate paraphrasing, duplicate publication, or unacknowledged use of others' work, is considered unethical and may result in rejection or post-publication action. Authors must properly acknowledge all sources, ideas, data, and contributions from other researchers.
  • Research Integrity: Authors must ensure that submitted manuscripts accurately represent their research and findings. Authors must not:
    • Fabricate or falsify data
    • Manipulate research results
    • Misrepresent sources or evidence
    • Selectively report findings in a misleading manner
  • Authorship: Authorship should be limited to individuals who have made substantial contributions to the research, including contributions to conception, design, analysis, interpretation, or writing. Individuals who contributed to the research but do not qualify for authorship should be acknowledged appropriately. All listed authors must:
    • Approve the final manuscript
    • Agree to submission
    • Accept responsibility for the content of the published work
  • Multiple Submission and Duplicate Publication: Authors must not submit the same manuscript to multiple journals simultaneously. Previously published work must not be republished without appropriate justification, disclosure, and permission where required.
